these are some of my photographic efforts - i hope to improve - i use a canon eos 350d with 18-55 & 55-200mm lenses various filters and a lot of luck.

on a stag weekend in rome i took this rather stunning shot of st peters basilica by night

snowday: 5 hours out walking and 200 shots produced these three images of the day. the trees i am exceptionally pleased with, the people scenes i am happy with but do not claim to be exceptional.

this was the result of an afternoon chasing the setting sun in the car - another whole session produced only a small collection of passable images. please excuse the power lines - i shall photoshop them out one day.

fireworks - a trio of fireworks photos that i have framed for the wall

this image i cannot take the credit for but it makes amazing wallpaper!

long exposure shots - these were taken of an activity which involved firing a lighted arrow at a flamable target (all under controlled conditions of course). i found a 5 second exposure seemed to obtain the best results. this was more a technical exercise in learning the camera but i am pleased with the results.

it has always puzzled me... how do you make ashford pretty? i have tried here:

beach shots - a whole session produced fairly dire results with only this sequence (originally 7 but cut to 3) deemed of sufficient quality. after a little photoshop treatment i deemed them acceptable to frame for the wall in a sequence where, in fact, they look quite effective.
